Having noticed Nigel’s work in various publications over a number of years, the owner of this garden called him in September 2013. A complete clear-out was required as the existing garden was overgrown, with tree roots getting into drains and house foundations. Exterior paving in 80's salmon pink tiles was also too high for interior floor levels. The brief was for an artistic garden with a vibrant subtropical atmosphere. Recognising the clients’ love of boats and the magnificent sea view, Nigel set about creating sculptural giant propellers and the sea-wall effect of gabion walls.
