I grew up in the south of England living and working on my family run Bedding Plant Nursery. I studied Horticulture for two years at Kingston Mulwood College, Dorset. I travelled for a few years working in gardens in Sydney, Australia before moving to New Zealand and marring my wife Jaime.
I have lived in Auckland for 12 years and started Urbis Landscapes eight years ago.

I studied again in my early years in NZ and have my Advance Level 4 in Landscape and Amenity Horticulture.

Urbis is mainly involved in residential Gardens and enjoys working with other great Auckland designers as well as some of our own designs. We have been heavily involved in building /creating gardens in our early years but now enjoy also having maintenance teams to care for our gardens where I can really put my Horticulture knowledge to good use.

I like working with all gardens and budgets. I feel we really ‘get’ family friendly gardens - having four children myself and making the garden become the best room in the house with the ability to entertain and enjoy the garden all year. Plant health and the garden’s long term goals are also really important.
