Jan Hart is the Principal Landscape Designer of Strass Landscape Design which specialises in design and construction of residential gardens. Jan and the director of Strass, Craig Steiner, work closely together, collaborating to create carefully considered, creative gardens that are crafted with great care and attention to detail.

A combination of extensive design and construction experience allows Strass to develop detailed design solutions to suit a wide variety of projects. We work closely with our clients and their architects to develop memorable, satisfying and enduring gardens.

Jan has over 30 years design experience in various design disciplines, the last 17 years in landscape design. She has qualifications in Landscape Design and in Fine Arts. In 2004 she won the judges Supreme Award at the Ellerslie Flower Show for the Lakeside Art Garden and in 2012 she won a Silver award in the “Landscaping New Zealand” for the Hodgson garden.
