Charged with challenging the ‘empty concrete jungle’ status quo that many high-density apartment complexes deliver, landscape architect Mel Robinson was entrusted with creating a green sanctuary that brought the wider landscape in, “greenwashing” not only the concrete slab on top of the basement carparking, but also the walls. Three large panels make up NZ’s tallest outdoor greenwalls which received the country’s first ever Homestar Innovation Point with predominantly native planting accented with pops of seasonal colour.
