Dominic Sudano established Russet Gardens in London 2013 after working in various landscape roles for the likes of Christopher Bradley-Hole, Stephen Woodhams, and pivotal work experience in the nursery and garden of Piet Oudolf’s Hummelo.  

 

Upon returning to Aotearoa in 2018 he set about following in the footsteps of Oudolf and set up an experimental grass and perennial nursery to go hand in hand with his design practice with the firm intent of developing a higher understanding of these plants and their application within the context of New Zealand and ultimately to adapt a variant of naturalistic landscaping that is applicable to the vast ecologies of Aotearoa.
